A win is a win but this is a win against a team that has been on the decline all season. They are sitting at the bottom of the SEC west because of it. If we are to right this ship we must win out at Vandy and Georgia and hope for a valient effort in the Florida game. This win is only a band-aid not a true fix.

a 10 loss season is not decent by my standards for UofK.....cut that in half and its decent......cut that half in half and its great! I'm old school....

The olny reason UK won that game is because Glen Davis stayed home. Had he played you could add about 15 points to LSU and take away about 10 points and 5 rebounds from Morris.

My starting 5 for the next game would be

Morris
Crawford
Bradley
Meeks
Perry

I'd start playing Jasper and Thomas a whole lot less because they have not gave us much of anything in the last few games.

Why are you so obsessed with "I Hate Kentucky Basketball Threads". Big deal they won one. They really needed to because in case you hadn't noticed they had lost the past 3. Just because they won a game they were supposed to win at home doesn't change anything. This team has issues.

Like it or not UK fans hate it that 10 loss seasons are the norm anymore. It is literally painful to watch a game anymore. Last night I had to turn the channel a couple times just to calm down. The Alabama game I could barely stomach to watch it. Just because Kentucky wins a game doesn't change a thing about the state of our team. So you can hate the fact that people bad mouth Kentucky when we lose but understand that we barely beat a team that is 1-9 in their past 10 games and is without their best player.

So to recap, UK ends a 3 game losing streak (something we have become accustomed to) to a bad team without their best player, after being down 16 at home. That's really something to be proud of. I guess you are too young to know what the blue and white USED to stand for. Sorry if I’m "killing" you.

Yep when Kentucky Fans get excited about beating a team at the bottem of the SEC WEST without their best player BIG BLUE NATION has issues!!!!!!! If anyone is to blind to see that please seek medical attention...I am just glad our fans didn't storm the floor after this win. I guess that would be the ultimate HIGH/LOW wouldn't it........

I would leave Bobby Perry on the bench. To be a senior he doesn't bring much to the table. I agree with your lineup but I would stay small and put Jasper in and take out Perry.

What are we susposed to say? Did you see how UK about blew another game at home? We sure looked impressive in that win didn't we? I have seen better performances from worse teams. Face the facts kid there are very few fans that enjoy Kentucky's current state. We are a mediocre team going to get an 8 seed. An 8 seed for Pete's sake. If you want to live up in the clouds where this team does no wrong go ahead. But for those of us who realize how far the greatest program in college basketball has fallen, we will remain restless. I don't think you get it, at UK you aren't susposed to be medicore. You aren't susposed to be an underdog on your own court, and you for dang sure aren't susposed to let a team that has went 1-9 in it's last 10 games hang with you at RUPP ARENA. If you want to complain about how the fans get upset after a loss then root for a different team, becuase you for dang sure don't know what it is to be a UK basketball fan.

I was there, I cheered as hard as I ever have. The fans, me included, would love to see them turn it around. I didn't get back into Louisville until after 1 o'clock. We are as devoted as we ever have been. But being a devoted fan means expressing your concerns when the program is headed in the wrong direction.

I am glad we won, I never want us to lose. But its tough to get excited after beating the last place team in the SEC. A team who has lost 9 out of their last 10 games. AND, they were without their best player.
For the fourth straight game, we fell behind 14 points in the first half.

Yes it was a win, but its about as bad of a win as there is.
Its tells me how far our program has fallen, when someone comes on here and says that we should be congratulating this team for a win, against the last place team, who is 1-9 in their last ten games, without their best player, and AT HOME.
I see nothing to get excited about last night. It looked like the same bad path to me last night.
And whats better, we took a verbal commitment yesterday from a guy who is a junior in highschool, and not listed in the top 150 of his class?????
Nothing new from where I sit.

I know what your saying but thats no reason to diss the whole dange team is it!!!! You said something about Randolph Morris on the other thing come on a 1000 points give the man a break!!!! Thats a great thing and you making it look like its nothing!!! Are you kidding me come on!!! I dont like where there at now but dont say something about the
UK players losing okay yeah its the coach!!! Im sure after this year he will be gone then when the new coach comes in and he doesent get it done then everyone will cry about him!!!! I just dont see how some can get this down on UK basketball and then consider themselves fans!!!!;)

This is painful. If you haven't gotten it by now then I don't know that you will ever get it. We could talk for days about how the Mighty UK has fallen to mediocrity and how changes need to be made to right the ship. You wouldn't understand anything that anyone says (becuase it's not just me it's everyone) and then not understand why everybody talks about UK when they lose but not win. I guess it's because you are young and don't know what it was like to be a fan in the mid 90's. This past weekend I watched the 96,97, and 98 teams on DVD. It was just as exciting to watch those games now as it was then. Then I watch the Alabama game and the LSU game and it's just a shame. So sit a home and wonder why everyone is down on UK (although our blood still runs as blue as ever). I will be going to games and cheering with the best of them, all the while you still don't understand. I guess it's just something that comes with time.

Maybe someone else can explain things better than I can. But don't doubt my being a fan, becuase I bled Blue before you were born.

How well can a 6 year old grasp the concept of a National Championship.... Of course if you watched them you probably remember more than I did someone had to tell me they won the next day I was at WKU drinking like they were never going to make any more beer....But I do remember the other NC games they played in during the 90's.

I really guess the biggest game I watched UK win was the 1978 game against Duke...Thought that game had more of a Uk atmosphere then any I've watched to date...Goose Givens just had that look and savy to him, like he wouldn't be denide his Championship..... Really Great game.....

Sorry 64, but you just can't imagine the feelings that men and women feel when their team wins that Championship...No way did you know anything about the concept of such magitude in that win...I give you credit, your a young UK fan and will probably bleed blue for a long time to come, but you were just too younf to really understand the game of Basketball at age 6, let alone up to the age or 12 maybe...So you see you have a total of 4 years of watching UK basketball that you can voice your opinion on...Sorry to come down on you so hard, but you opened yourself up to your last post about being around in the 90's. Heck I was around in the late 50's, but I was only an itch in my daddy's pants.......

The best night was in 96 when we beat Maryland becasue the police wasn't ready. It was a a smaller crowd bu still rowdy. We DROVE thru Euclid and Woodland that night, we knew better on Monday night. I actually have some video from Monday night(championship), I even have the news van on fire and the guys hanging from the telephone poles on camera. Also I rember a HUGE party on Eculid, close to Rose, the whole street was dancing. The most dangerous part was the flying beer bottles. I can see it now...the light turns red and 5,000 people run out into the street.LOL That was a blast!

:D I don't care how old I am, if we win another one thats where I will be headed. It just kind of happened in 96, but in 98 the tradition had already been set, and I think everybody on campus plus some were there.

You are correct. I remeber it kinda started after we beat UMass in 96 in the final four (I was there for that too). Someone called me from campus and told me to get down there. So a few days later EVERYONE showed up. Being only 2 years later it was even bigger in 98 because everyone had heard about it and had planned on going. THAT was CRAZY!! I swear I've seen a lot of things in my life, but that was AWESOME!:D I have stories but you never know who's reading this stuff and this is a family forum.:D I even have the 2 framed pictures of the madness in my living room taken by James Archambeault (The one from 96 has that guy on top of the sign!)

I just hope that by the time we win again that the kids at UK will know where to go! By then, it will probably be a story that they heard about from their dad who was in school at that time!
