Ford all the way...never had one fail on me every gm my family has ever owned had more shop time than road time. Now, my next truck will be a Dodge cummins. Never will own a foreign brand.

This is what I don't like about the newer trucks: sure they look great, most of them are going to a plastic front bumper. i like the old, big, steel bumpers you could actually "bump" things with and not worry about it too much. I had an old Isuzu trooper that I used to push small trees over with at the farm to clear paths. You couldn't do that with the plastic bumpers they are putting on those things now-a-days.

If you want a domestic youd better buy Toyota.

yeah Toyotas are the only ones built in the US really, and right here in ol Kentucky. Especially since Ford is moving over seas to cut labor costs. I have owned just about all the major brands of trucks. Ford, Dodge, Nissian, and Toyota. First I will never own another Dodge truck, they nickel and dime you to death, the parts are to high and they are hard on gas. Dodge has very little aftermarket parts. The two Fords that I have owned were descent vehicles, but after 150,000 miles they started giveing a few problems. The Nissian and Toyato both were the most maintenance free vehicles I have ever owned. I have a Nissian car with 230,000 miles and still going strong. Right now I own a Toyato T100 truck, and I love it.

Right now I drive a Dodge 2500 w/ the Cummins. I've had it for 3 years and it's been a pretty good truck, even though it was built in Mexico by a German company.

There is no doubt in my mind that Toyota makes the best vehicles on the road. I've owned many and still own one right now. Buying the Dodge just kind of reaffirmed what I already knew.

My last truck was a Chevy S-10, lasted me 10 years, I gave it away to The Disabled Vets Of America...Still ran just as good as the day I bought it. Now I have a 2004 F150- I can honestly say I got the best one made I have never had a problem with it yet. I have changed the oil religiously every 5000 miles and changed the air filter as needed. New set of tires and that's it.

I have always owned Ford trucks and never had a problem with any of them, just did regular maintenance and occasional brakes, tires, etc.
That includes one truck that I put over 300,000 miles on and two more with over 200k before I sold/traded for a new one. I currently drive a 2005 F150 supercrew, love it!

Just got a 2007 Dodge 4wd 4 door and whether I like it or not I will be driving it for a long time!! I was a parts manager for years and in my opinion everyone has a good truck,I have owned Toyotas as well as Ford and Dodge and liked em all, however when your brother in law sells Dodge you gotta keep it in the family,or suffer the wrath of a little sister!!

I boughta new dodge ram in 95 , was in the shop 15 times in three yrs, numerous problems, was always bumming rides to work, told the dealer he should have told me to buy 2 so I would have one to drive when the other was inthe shop, now I have Toyotas, no problems
