For those of you have been about to pee your pants for a team turkey contest, you long wait is over. Uncle Lee's has granted us permission to have a contest for the members of this forum. The format is much the same as the Big Buck Contest. Please read the rules before signing up, making sure that you understand them fully. Ive been gettin pics of tons of big gobblers on my game cam. The biggest (and no doubt dominant) is a red-phase bird. His wings are completley copper-colored. Hopefully i can get a shot at him this year.

It is easier that way. That will make it easier to contact you on this site if you don't visit the contest site much.

How does this contest work? I read the rules and everything but I am a little confused about the teams? Is there a prize? Entry fee?

Just sign up, no entry fee. After the sign up deadline, teams will be drawn, then check in with your team in your team thread. Easy as that.

I'm in !!! Hunted a total of 10 hours last season.... one LBL bird & one Christian Co. bird. Something in the back of my mind tells me it wont be as easy this time. Come on ...Turkey Season!!!!!:D
JD, in 04 (I think) I hunted only the first two days for a total of 4 hours. 1 hour the first morning and 3 hours the second. Believe me, the seasons after that have not been that good to me. Wait, year before last I didn't hunt that long to tag both my birds either. Anyway, good luck on the repeat.

I didn't see you listed as a member there. I think that site has problems registering names with punctuation in them. Try re-registering as Tha Hat. You should get an activation email. Then go to the sign up thread there to sign up for the contest.

I know we have more turkey hunters on this forum that what have signed up for the contest. If you know someone on here that hunts, but has not signed up, get them to do so. I would love to see 10 teams of 10.

I just signed up!! Im ready to go bust some turks!! seen a group of about 50 scratching around some beech trees just this past weekend hope they get rid of them hens a little earlier this year couldnt do much with them last year but still got me one and everyone else killed out!! im gonna guess bout 23 lber this year!!!!

No, you are not going to get together with your team. I will randomly draw members and assign them to teams. I will then start a thread that shows who is on what team. Also, I will start individual team threads. At that time you will need to post under your teams thread. If you do not, you will be replaced with an alternate.

Alright guys, here is the deal. We are at 109 members as of now. One more person will make it 11 teams of 10 members each. When member 110 signs up, I am going to close the sign up thread and draw teams. Any member still wanting to sign up will be able to do so under an alternate sign up thread. This will give those members a chance to participate if a member of any team does not check in.
I will draw teams this weekend and post them up as soon as the draw is complete. Look for teams to be posted sometime Sunday night. Please be sure and check in with you team as soon as possible so team names and captains can be assigned.

That is correct. I believe that no new teams will be made up until everyone has checked in and alternates have been assigned for the vacancies. That should assure no teams are short. If we need another person, I'll sign up and lab can put me on a big black chicken for my team.:D

As Ateup said, evryone needs to check in with their team. If you do not check in by the date stated, an alternate will be put in your place.

If you cannot seem to get in touch with certain members of your team, please email or pm that member. We do not need to fill this forum up with members trying to get the attention of their team.
