I have ringing in my ear from shooting a shotgun and must wear ear protection when hunting. I have used Remington 27db ear muffs up to now.

Have any of you tried the amplified ear muffs such as Peltor or Radians? I would really like to find a solution that I don't have to pull on and off the muffs when ready to fire. But I don't want to spend $100+ if they don't work.

thanks for your help!

I got a pair of Green ones from Cabelas for under $40 and they work great.

I have used a set of Pro-Ears for years now and can highly recommend them. The set I use is similar to the Pro-Slim Plus model on the website. (http://www.pro-ears.com/shootingsportshearingprotection.htm#dimensionserie s)

I don't use them for hunting. Mine are mainly used for competition and the training range so I can hear and talk while the shooting is going on.

Shop around around a bit, I think you can beat the MSRP shown on the Pro-ears web site.
