You need to start with the shoes/belt combo first.

I use a camo shirt with more "green" in it, and pants with more brown in them because I sit on the ground in the vegitation alot. Most of the time I am setting against a tree with leaves around my head and leaves around my feet, so I try to match the patterns to the surroundings.

In the shop i have the Predator Green Deception w/ turkey vest and the Realtree apg is on the way w/ turkey vest

Both patterns have vests alond with most of the mossy oak patterns, but the belt may be pushing it.

What I'm saying is I match my surroundings which are closest to my body. My shirt matches a tree while my pants are usally brownish like the dead leaves. This is only my way of blending in and not stand out so to say. Yes to see me walking I look two-toned but it seems to let birds come in really close so I'll continue to do so.

So what do you match your accesories with ? The top or the bottom? Or do you get bold and accesorise in a whole different direction?

The best camo for moving on turkeys is Real Estate! Never been seen yet while using it!;)

I would suggest starting with these.

Add black knee high socks and matching belt.

probably a touch overboard. but if you really want to blend in, you could get a ghillie suit. i was looking at some pretty nice ones on ebay for around $120.

I usually wear something with some red, white and blue in it, helps attract the turkeys.

BM. Turkey hunting is not like Stuttgart duck hunting.....your camo does not have to match and it doesn't need to come from Mcalisters or Macks Prairie Wing. You can have on two different brands of camo and still be acceptable in the turkey woods. Turkeys are not fashion mavens like ducks. Hope that helps.

I religously wear Realtree HD green. Their camo patterns are not too dark, which is what i have found in Mossy Oak's Breakup. And they are more life-like too.

I think he just wants to be matching head to toe so he can fix in with the camo sexuals at the gas stations in the morning on the way to the hunt. As long as your accessories match you are ok:rolleyes:

I usually get whats on sale. Never been busted by a turkey by this method. Sometime I have more than three different patterns on.. My vest is hardwoods green, my gun us break up, most of my pants are bottemland or advantage timber and I have alot of the old realtree extra That i wear. Most have holes in them but it gives it a 3-D look.

Sounds like we have quite a turkey hunting fashion predicament!!! I always get a kick out of seeing turkey hunters that match everything -- like they're headed to the red carpet -- not the leaf strewn, stick laiden, tick infested carpet I usually sit up in.

If I didn't buy it on sale or get it as a present at Christmas, then I'm not buying the full expensive wardrobe. I've never shot a turkey wearing the full get up. The turkeys don't mind how the guy looks that kills them -- just worried about the load of no. 5s screaming at their face.

The best advice I can give a guy that's worried about his camo is to get a pair of ratchet cutters and cut off leafy branches to stick in the ground around him -- works every time, if your camo is a little faded!!!

People might think I'm a cheap a**, but I never skimp on my 3" Hevi-Shot #5s, my shotgun, or my boots. I'd rather be deadly, comfortable, and mobile than pretty!!!!

The beagler is right on point.......I really think a lot of theese "dudes" aren't really into the hunt but enjoy puttin on their duds and looking good. You won't find too many "camo-sexuals" with turkey blood smeered all over their co-ordinated outfit but you may catch them lookin in a mirror from time to time.
And no kiddin my turkey outfit consists of some old german army surplus pants with spray painted suspenders and a big shirt that i died brown in a five gallon bucket one night at turkey camp. My shirt is missin a huge chunk out of the back because I forget to take toilet paper with me every now and then. Works fine.

My camo never matches! Everytime I get something new, shirt or pants the companies have changed the patterns. Come to think of I dont think one item mathes the other from my hat to my boots. But anyway my turkeys never seem to mind, they must be as unsophisticated as I am!
