I shoot a 28" super x2. For the past 3 yrs I've been shooting a truglo turkey choke. It will kill a turkey but the pattern leaves much to be desired. I want to try one of the comp-n-choke tubes but don't know which one. Most of my shots are between 20-25yds which isn't asking much out of a turkey choke but I do hunt some open bottom lands where a man needs to be able to consistently kill at 40-45yds. I used to shoot an 835 with a hastings choke and it would shoot good at 50yds. I'm not getting anything near that with the x2 and the truglo. For anyone with experience with a comp-n-choke, what would you suggest? Also, I shoot 3 1/2 inch winchester shells (5's and 6's). Has anyone found any 1/2 pellets in their birds. I've pulled shot that looked like they were cut perfectly in 1/2 out of 3 birds. What's the deal with this?

I've shoot a Comp -n-Chock out of my 1187 3inch for the last 6-7years. Does a number on them. I can get around 25-20 shots in the head, that is in the skull & spine not to count the other nun-vital shot . But then I like them in close,25yrs. is a longggggggggg shot.:D

I use the comp-n-choke xxx full with an 835 and winchester supreme 3.5" 4 or 5s. It's tight.
I have two of them and would not think of buying anything else. All you have to do is call them, tell them what gun you are shooting, and the loads that you will be shooting through it. They will pick the best tube for your gun/ammo combination. You won't be disappointed.

I shoot a xxxfull and Win. #5's out of my x2. Shot all the Gobblin Thunders and the Comp-n-Choke came out on top for me. Another thing that sold me on C-n-C was they were willing to exchange chokes until I was happy! Good luck, Jarhead.

I have patterned my sbeII with comp-n-choke and have had excellent results. Many people will disagree with what I use on 3 1/2 #6 winchester hi vel. because i use a cnc .640 constriction. I have an extremely tight pattern from close out to 50 yds. Many people will say if you shoot a choke this tight you will miss birds up close. My response to this is you should know how your gun shoots at what ever range you are shootin. I also have 2 other cnc chokes. I use my .660 if i use #5's and a .675 when using #4's.
Im not saying you will get the same results as I have out of these chokes because every gun shoots different. I used to shoot the benelli xtrema and it may have been that gun but it didnt pattern with the comp-n-chokes anything like my sbeII.

I've shot a .655 CNC for at least ten years. I use it in a 1300. Love it!

.670 or .675 Kicks GT or XXXFull Comp-n-Choke for #6's should do great.
Winchester lead shot and try different loads. (But I'd stick with Winchester) They are both top notch tubes.Pellets could be getting beat up in the barrel (i.e. forcing cone?) causing pellet deformation. This could also explain poor patterns.
