Wow if youre in taylorsville your about as close to prime as it gets. Id recommend finding some good private land! Simply asking permission goes a long way most of the time.

Thanks for the info, I will check him out asap.

It is getting hard to find land to hunt, T-ville is pretty closed up to the locals and the wma is over-ran each spring, Id rather go somewhere I might see a bird and not another hunter:-)

Bill is a top notch guy. I have had the pleasure to hunt with him on forum hunts for a few years now...He is as honest as they come..I am going to Texas this March for the second year in a row for hogs and Bill is one of our hunting buddies that we are meeting up with..

Elk Creek Hunt Club in Owen County offers turkey hunts and while I have not hunted there I do know some of the guides and know it has lots of birds. Trophy birds are there. One of the guides, if you can get him is one of the best turkey hunters I know. Not many hunters at all and not many people hunt it either. If I was looking to pay for a hunt I would definitely consider this area since it is relatively close to Lexington, plus they provide great food, sporting clays as well as lodging. You might want to check them out as for the money it sounds like a great deal.

Well looks like Iam hunting 2nd weekend with Bill, seems like a super person via email, looking forward to the opportunity:-) He seems to care more about your hunt than the $$, rare these days:D
