You should call a shop and verify before you drive. I've been looking for a 7mm and finally found one at Bass Pro in Nashville. I was filling the paperwork out after a 2 year search for the exact model I wanted, when they said, "oh, your from IN. We can't sell this to you." :(

I bought several guns from Keislers without a problem. it has been a couple years(before he sold it), not aware of any law changes recently that would cause you any problems.

Ky. law is you have to be a Ky. resident to buy a hand gun. But, if you live in an adjoining state that borders Ky. you can buy a long gun. Meaning if the state you live in does not border Ky. you have to have it shipped to someone in your state that is a FFL holder.

The reason was because Indiana does not border Tennessee. I'm sure the Bass Pro in Indiana can order the gun for you.

I really thought that was strange. It was a rifle and they said there were 17 states they could sell to, IN was not one of them.

Bass Pro can do a store transfer from Nashville for you. Ask Dennis in the gun dept. He did one for me. :D

Just a few weeks ago, I bought a rifle in at Bass Pro in Indiana and I live in Ky. There were no issues with the process.

Although it felt a little strange when they handed me the gun at the gun counter and let me walk through the store with it. At any other large store I've bought a gun at, they've always either escorted me out or told me to pick it up at the front counter.

Federal law used to be up to 2 contigouis stated away I haven't been a dealer for years, so it could have changed to just bordering states. You should be able to check the BATF website to make sure.

I just purchased a rifle at the Bass Pro in Indiana this past December. No problems you just have to fill out the paperwork, pay for the gun, out the door. I would suggest buying the gun though the week as it is must less crowded and the process will go faster...
