Advertising like that makes the folks from PETA get all hot and bothered and pitch tent. Soemtimes I wonder what these guys are thinking. Put out something like that and then complain when these extremist groups use it against us.

Yea I know someone else who says they shoot great, but my buddy isn't there yet!! Question for you,how much did he have to move his sights ? Just wondering cause I was thinking it might be good to just dedicate a bow completely to shooting these heads.

it gives you CLEAN kills how can you ask for something better. everyone always talks about how hard it is to take birds with a bow and how you have to track them and hit them in just the right spot. with that head if you hit them they are dead. how is that a bad thing. it would give the peta S.O.B.s more ammo if you were showing them shooting birds and then never being able to recover them.

PETA is going to complain about anything hunters do. To the people of PETA we are sensless no brain murderers. If you think thats grusome, just think about what happens every thanksgiven to millions of turkeys. Their heads are chopped off, feathers scaulded off, put in a plastic bag, put in a freezer, thawed out, has its rectum cavity stuffed with cornbread, cooked at 400 degrees and then eaten to the bone. That also could be ammo for PETA, but to me its part of life. All things in nature is brutal and we are part of the natural world. Come to gripps with it.

Heads apear to be very efficient in killing the bird, but what about arrow recovery? From the video just about all arrows go flying off after the hit. Just wondering how easy it would be to find an expensive shaft and expensive broadhead in the grass or leaves.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Yeah, it's gruesome, but it's a clean kill if you connect and if you miss, the bird walks away.
I like the advertising and have heard they are really effective on turkeys. I think I'll give 'em a try this spring. :D

Probably a little easier than finding your arrow after the turkey it's in runs off with it. Lol.;)

No one from PETA is going to give a darn on the clean kill. The visuals on this for an anti-hunter or someone who just doesn't care one way or the other looks like something from a horror movie.
Might be good advertising for the product but IMO its bad advertising for all of us.

What bow does your friend shoot? I've got a Switchback XT and just got these broadheads tonight and they won't shoot unless I have a longer arrow. The blades hit my sight and the bow when I'm at full draw. I have no idea what to do. Would shooting a longer arrow work?

i think it is good advertising all around shows a good product, and also shows a hunter that wants a clean fast kill. you think it looks any better blowing feathers and parts all over the place with a 3.5 inch mag at ten yards. the head is gone after that too. i do want to try them this year but i also want to try the turkey tom o hawk from trophy ridge 3.5 inch cutting in a mech. head. any one shoot these? they look good

Dev, yes you have to use a 31 inch arrow with 5 inch vanes to get the most effective shot...did yo get 100 or 125?? You will have to adjust your sights a hair, use a bigger diameter shaft if you buy new arrows...

They tried to sell me a few arrows when I bought the broad heads but I opted not to do that. Oh well, I'll have to get them later. I got the 100gr blades and I got 125gr replacement blades. Well have to get it figured it out one weekend when you decide to come home and see friends. You should see all of the birds that are here right now. Its stupid.

Anybody Get Them Workin???
Nope. Did have over 1000 geese and probably 400 ducks in the bottom behind the house yesterday morning. Woke everyone in the house. Got some really good pics of them. Two neck bands. Only got a pic of one neck band. When is your spring break. We'll have to shoot the broadheads then.
