I was wondering if any of you muzzle loaders shoot Knight's
Tk2000 shotgun?I would like to know how they are for turkey
hunting. The shot size you would recomend, powder load and what
kind of pattern your getting with this gun?Any info would be
helpful.Sure there are web's that have this info but I'd
rather hear it from true hunters.

I have never killed a turkey with mine, but feel confident out to about 35 yards. I use 2 oz of 6's and 100 grains of powder. Shot cup from Knight.
If you are close to Pioneer Weapons Area you may want to wait until
they finalize what is legal. No inlines or compound bows as of last commision meeting.

How did your youth hunt at Jabez turn out Thunderstorm?

No fish, no turkeys taken.
One kid got to see a jake at about 55 yards and he also had 2 big gobblers above him strutting but could not get a shot.
I stopped at the Klassic on the way home and didn't see a Pulaski Co.
booth. Figured you were on the course.

You must not have come up the hill to the permanent shelters, where the 3D sign-in and food vendor is located. That is where the Pulaski booth was. I was too busy to shoot the course, but did sneak off for about 2 hours Saturday morning to take my ll year old hunting. I called in a big gobbler right off, but Seth was too slow in getting the safety off and swinging the big 12 gauge, and the bird ran out. We got to work two more that were strutting in a field at about 150 yards and then had two coyotes chase a doe by us and one veered off and knocked over one of our decoys. All in all we had quite a bit of action crammed in to a morning hunt.

Several good birds have been taken at Jabez, on the Timber Ridge Hunt Club and also off Corp Property. Hope, you close out with a good season.

I have done pretty good. My wife took one opening day.
I called a big one in for Dad this week, but he didn't get a shot.
He has just been hunting a couple of years and I was real disappointed
it didn't work out for him.
