I just watched the dumbest show on the outdoor channel, Sportsman's Showcase. The fellows (from Alabama) came to Kentucky to film a hunt. The KY host went into detail explaining about KY's one buck limit and how that translates into bigger, older bucks. Then the fellows shot two little basket-racks and a doe. Thought the one boy was going to cry over the little deer he shot. Good greif! These were 1 1/2 year old deer. Did anyone else see this?
I've watched it before. That one has been around for
awhile. Sorry, everyone, KY deer are like everything
else, when they are young, they are little! Want a
Bigun' wait, want meat, shoot now.
Sorry Mossyhorns if I sound negative, those "hunting"
shows have been turning me off lately. Too much
"canned" hunting.

I know what you mean, GSP. If I see one more stupid show where a bunch of nimrods walk up on and shoot a bunch of displaced, overgrown, billy-goats on one of those fenced in cow lots in Texas, I'm gonna hurl! And the same goes for management hunts. What's with these guys? Go to some high fenced operation and watch the "big 'uns" parade around while waiting for some stunted little fellow with an odd number of points to walk out -- good grief!
Geez, if I wanted to sit and watch a bunch of goof-balls rack up does and baby bucks, I'd go to Tennessee!
Maybe we could get together and film a video. If you
are good with a bow or rifle, I can handle a camera.
How about Angus? Maybe Herefords or Jersey? The are
about as challenging as some of those shows and a whole
lot better to eat. Oh well, I had better get off my
soapbox about that. We have enough problems with the
anti's. I just with they would quit giving them ammo.
