Bit the bullit...Will be here on Monday. Going to be tough switching from ol Bill Gates but I have been tempted by Macs for years. I have used Microsoft since MS DOS. Any Mac users on here?

I think you'll like it very much; though I have a limited knowledge of them, what I have used I liked. I'm really a "nix" guy, but due to my wife's classes(Masters) (too many M$ products required) I don't get to run it like I'd like or used to do .... (she's worth it though) :)
Let us know how you like it?
It probably won't take you long at all to get used to it, though I've never used the latest versions so that may not be quite true...

Mac G5 at work.. I'd have one at home instead of my PC if I could afford it, but they're pricey.

Yep, have four of them, ranging from an old G3 to a G4 laptop and a G5 iMac to a new 2 cor 2.33 GHz ibook screamer. Got any questions happy to help.
At work I'm a Windows architect .....sad huh? ;)

I bought a refurbed unit. You can get some good deals in there in the mornings. I also know now that you can run XP or Vista in Parallels so that made helped push me over the edge.

Unless you have something specific in mind (maybe a non-Mac game or a MS Access db) you'll soon find you won't use Windows at all.

I am a little blown away by the coolness of this new machine. I am sure it will be just another computer in six months but right now I am digging it a lot and I have not even gotten into the stuff it is supposed to do well..pictures and video.

I've used Macs since I can remember, never had much need for a Windows box. BUT just for fun I added Virtual PC to see what I was missing.....UGH. WHat a waste of time.
Mac OS is what Window's Vista dreams of being one day.
Enjoy!!

I thought the exact same thing the first time I saw a beta version of Vista. Same ol' windows with some new os10 ripoffs... plus it seems to be designed to eat as much RAM as possible...

Anything and everything that M$ makes is bloated and RAM hungry.
Enjoy,
