Parcells to UK as an assistant?

Don't laugh, FWIW, there are strong rumors that Parcells wants to join the coaching staff at UK, as an assistant coach. Apparently he owns a home in Versailles.

I have no idea about the UK thing, but I do think that Parcells has mellowed from his old self. He took a lot of crap from TO in the middle of the season. I don't think the Parcells of 15-20 years ago would have even thought about taking. I think he was just holding on this season and knew he was going to call it quits a while back. He waited until the day after the league championship games for a reason. With the Super Bowl approaching, he had to have known that his retirement would not be the hot topic for long.

I have heard rumors from credable people that Parcells is the reason Brooks ended up at UK. They say Parcells told Barnheart he would take the UK job but backed out for the Dallas job.

I can tell you that I know for a fact that Parcells was interested in coming to UK. Even that was on ESPN when he took the dallas job. My source was larry Ivy's wife. Parcells and larry have been close friends for some time, and before Larry got let go, he and parcells had come to an agreement.
Now what happen between barnhart and parcells I have no inside knowledge on, but I do know that he was highly interested when Ivey was still here. parcells is big into horses, and that what stems his interest in wanting to live in Lex.

I was told by larrys wife that Parcells would be our next coach at UK. This was several weeks before the dallas job became available. And her story was that it was a done deal. He told larry when the Dallas job came available that it was the ONLY pro job that he would even consider. And as we all know he ended up choosing the dallas job.
They live in Flor now, and larry is involved in the franchising rights for papa Johns pizza in russia. Its been several years since i talked with them, but I always got credible info from them when we spoke.
larry also told me during all the investigations that he would not be touched by the investigations. So obviously my info wasn't always correct.

Very seldom is anything you hear always 100% right. But this is good enough for me. I get so tired of people saying I got a source and then it turns out to be they over heard two football players talking in class.

You will get no names from me cause I don't have any. A couple of khaki pants guys that sit in at mid court in the lower level of Rupp, talk allot better then me and make allot more money then me told me that.

Why does Barnheart wait until the last minute to get a coach and then comes up with Brooks. I have no problem with Rich Brooks but it seemed to me he was a backup plan.
