What is the best way to get the ivory clean? Just cut it out but need to know what I need to do next. Thanks

start pealing the gum tissue away with a knife, try not to scratch the ivory.

after you get them as clean as you can peeling or rubbing, then i put mine in a small jar and put straight hydrogen peroxide in it and soak them. after a couple of days open the jar (plug your nose first) and rinse them real good... then let them dry... mine turn out white as snow...

What i use to do with my ivories is to stick them in my pocket with the loose change and after time they will polish up very clean. Almost like polished rocks in a tumbler.
