i think i heard one time that every spring the kdfw rounds up volunteers to chase down and catch new born calves so they can ear tag them and check their vital stats as well as the wellness of the heard. does something like this really happen? or did i just dream that? if it does happen, where can i get more information and when does it take place (it seems like march or april sounds right)?
thanks for the help!!!!!!!!:)

I have been going the last couple years and its cool. Alot of work, but its also alot of fun. It happens in late May and into June. The RMEF usually has alot of volunteers along with Dept. officials. Mamma usually runs off a short distance because of all the people usually involved, but will sometimes come back in and watch not far away.
