But I installed them backwards. Now I have a herd of deer following me everywhere I go! They're just standing around my driveway right now waiting for me to go somewhere.

I used to use those but they kept falling off when I'd hit a deer.

thats great, that should be one of the comments on the back of the package when you purchase them.

-I have heard of a study they did about those deer whistle things, and they don't work its just to get money....

After hitting the sixth deer with my 93 Silverado I installed them.....Number 7 never presented a kill shot after I did so I have to say they work!

Drive through western Ky at nite with them on your car and tell me if you dont notice alot of deer raising their head as you come down the road!

Yes, a scientific study I read a few years back actually said they draw deer towards out of curiousity, so they actually increase your chances according to the study I read.

But, people will keep buying them.

my mom just bought some and got some for me too. I didn't put them on my truck. Get in your tree stand and blow a silent dog wistle...deer just look at you and sometimes slowly start to wonder to you, most of the time they just look at you and walk on.

I work for a trucking company with around 1100 trucks. Owner mandates we install them on every truck. Guess what????? They don't work. This time of the year our trucks hit anywhere from 1 to 5 a day. Save your money!!!!

I was reading an article about how well deer hear (for obvious reasons) and I could only find evidence of one study that has been done. It basically said that that they took a deer and put it through a series of hearing tests while watching brain functions to determine how well it could hear the sounds.

The frequency range the deer can hear is very close to what humans can hear. The study basically said that if your using ultra-sonic deer whistles, the deer won't be able to hear them and the obvious conclusion...

The study did note that they only studied one deer and that the study, while as scientific as they could make it, still wasn't "Proof" of a deers hearing ability...
