I drive a truck for a delievery service in owensboro KY. Yesterday all that driving caught up to me. At a very busy intersection, the stop lights were out in all 4 directions. The lights facing me were flashing red, but what I didn't know was that the lights on the north/south road were flashing yellow. Everyone at the intersection was treating it as a 4-way stop. After letting everyone before me pass, I proceeded across the intersection. Well, a woman in a mini-van came speeding down the street doing at least 45mph. By the time I hit my brakes there was nothing I could do. I t-boned her in the side and that was that. She and her child were fine, but I can't say the same for myself. I have pinched a nerve in my back that is giving me some strong pain, and I am very stiff this morning. I am very concerned with gun season coming in tommrow that i am not going to feel like going. But hopefully a day and a half of rest will do the trick, and I will be out there in the morning. I don't think I am going to try to climb in a stand just yet though. I will probably hunt from the ground tommrow. I just hope my whole weekend isn't ruined because of this:mad:

Thanks for the offer philpot, I really appreciate it. I am going to try to hunt this weekend and see how things go. Hopefully resting today will help out. Good luck tommrow!

Try taking a real hot 30 minute bath and then stretching. I do that after a busy day and it really helps to pull out the kinks in my back. Hope it gets better :D

I couldn't hunt today because I felt so bad. It felt like a knife was being stuck in the base of my neck. But, I am feeling a little better now, and i am getting ready to go to bed and try and get up in the morning so I can hunt. Thanks for the concern fellas!

good luck, be safe and take it easy.. if you cant drag that deer out yourself get someone to help dont risk messing up your back even more

That's what the 4 wheeler is for! I'm going to let it do all the work!

hope that it works itself out...I know a few people that have had to have surgery for pinched nerves in the back and neck. good luck to you
