Made my reservation a couple days ago. Anyone planning on a sure thing campout there needs to make their reservations now. there are 14 out of 20 sites still open as of 11/02/06. they won't last long. 17, 18, 19 are the best. good nd level and road frontage. go to reserveusa.com to reserve them and have the card handy. good luck. it will be here before you know it.:)

My family and I go camping alot at Nolin Lake Camp Ground, But I have never heard of Hillman Ferry Camp Ground. I hit the link to Reserveusa.com and checked out the map of the camp grounds. Where exactly is this Camp Ground. Looks like there is a lake located around the area as well. If it's close (les than) 2 hours ( Can't drive much further due to bad back ) we might just check it out one weekend...

P.S. We only got a two room tent, but bring all the comforts of home... We usually rent a site that has water and elec. so we can use our fan in the summer months and heater in the winter times....

it is at land between the lakes. ky Between ky lake and lake barkley. It IS one of the most popular campgrounds around. I live in western ky. (muhlenburg co.) and it is 2 hours from me. about 4 or so I'd say for you. its a great beautiful place. you would go back if you ever can make the trip.
