Load'er up and find out![:D]
Honestly, it's impossible to overload a muzzleloader. Once the main powder charge is ignited, the gases start pushing the bullet forward, while the remaining powder is still burning. Once the bullet leaves the barrel, excess powder will also be expelled. One way to tell if you're using too much powder (not burning all of it), is to lay out a white bed sheet in front of your muzzleloader and then shoot at your target. If there's any unburnt powder, it'll fall onto the sheet on the ground.
Muzzleloaders aren't like modern centerfires. The powder burns slower and the bullet starts to move before the powder is completely burnt.
