I'm looking for some options this year as in what other cartridges to try with my 243 winchester. I've been shooting the 100gr rem. core loks and have had great success but would like to know what anyone else thinks about other brands and what kind of luck they may have had.
trust me

The Core Loct is a fine bullet. If your rifle likes it, then you aren't giving up a thing by passing up the expensive premium bullets.
Every rifle is an individual and some shoot one bullet weight better than others. You can experiment with lighter ones, but do that in the summer when you have no pressure. I hate trying to dial in a rifle the week before deer season.:(

Oh I got plenty of time and I was just wanting to play around with some other factory brands before the opener came in.
I will be off work from the 28 oct - Nov 17

243 Winchester 100 gr. Super-X Power-Point
My preferance:o
Try a Winchester 95 grain ballistic tip. Took some youths during the youth weekend and they do some serious damage.

My nephew, cousin and fiance all use 95gr. Winchester ballastic silver tips and for a small bullet they are quite impressive. Theres several good bullets out there just find what your rifle likes.
