What's the typical cost to get the pull on a trigger lightened?

Depends I guess.
I had a Timney put in my Remington 700 Sendero. $75 for the trigger and $75 for installation. I don't hunt with it so it's set at about 2.5-3 lbs. It is full adjustable though.
There are nicer triggers out there, Jewell etc but for what I do, not worth $250 for the trigger then the installation on top of that.

A replacement Timney trigger costs anywhere from $60 to about $80 new. Anyone with a screw driver can adjust one after you read the instructions.

One of the best gunsmiths (Jeff Smith, Specialty Arms) in the Nashville area says buying an after market trigger is more or less a waste of money, since most need tweaking anyway. He does trigger jobs on factory triggers, around $80, I've had two guns done and I know several folks who have, awesome job. I'd find a reputable gunsmith in the area and have him do one on the factory trigger, unless of course there's some reason you want to resell the gun with it original.

I had one done this summer and it was $45.00, that was on a Remington ADL and he brought it down to 3 pounds. His name is Todd Allen he is a liscened gunsmith and he works at Tinkers Pawn in Shelbyville I don't think you will beat the price or his work.

If you have them lightened too much, they may fail to ignite the primer on some guns.
I have a Redhawk that I had to have a second job done on about two years later because of that.
