I haven't tried them before, but my Grandpa eats em. He loves catfish eggs especially. I can remember the first time my grandma fried them up. SHe wents nuts because they popped all over her stove and made a big mess. AT that point, she said she wasn't fixing anymore eggs. My grandpa now has to make them and clean up the mess.

Interesting I've never heard of eating bluegill eggs or catfish but i wouldn't mind trying it. Do you fry them plain or in meal like the fish.

I coat them extra thick in batter using a lot of pepper and a pinch of lemon then fry them over medium-low heat until they turn golden brown but not burnt. I don't care for fish eggs that aren't cooked really, really well. Seems like the longer you cook em without burning them the better they taste. I like bluegill eggs the best.
