.270 WSM, Tikka T3, very pleased with it. So far have killed whitetails and speedgoats with it. Goats required dddooowwwnnnrange accuracy. Good, adjustable trigger, pretty quick to find ammo it liked (I don't reload, just bought a few options and settled in). Lightweight. Really nice "tool". The fit and finish are not the greatest but are in line with the price.

If memory serves me there was a recall on some early serial numbers but I've not seen any issues since then (my gun was not affected, just ck this out if looking at used guns). I can't remember what the issue was.

got a .300 wssm and it is outstanding !! Superb balance. The receiver and barrell are basically a Sako.

Is it the tikka lite? Just wondering how the recoil is. I've seen some say the 300 WSM is not a good match for the 6.5 pound gun. Others say the recoil is acceptable.

I've just noticed a weapons section to this site so I guess I posted this question in the wrong area. Sorry.

I have a Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 7mm-08 and it is a great rifle. My T3 shoots my handloads of 43 gr. of Varget and 120 gr. Sierra SP's to groups that you can cover with a nickel EVERY TIME! The T3 's action is as smooth as glass. Fantastic rifle..........

What type of glass do you have on your T3 Lite? Thinking of buying one in 25-06. Being only 6.3 pounds was thinking of putting a 50 mm objective on it for longer range shooting and better light transmission. Don't own any 50mm all of mine are 40's. Thanks+

I don't have a Tika...yet! I do have a Savage 114 American Classic in 300 WSM. I can't get mine to shoot less than .8" off a bench, but I'm not counting it out yet. I have only tried two powders and three bullet makes (all 165 grainers). So, load development is just getting started. Recoil is what I would call substantial for anyone who has never shot a heavier kicking gun. If you are accustomed to the wallup of a 300 Winnie and up, the WSM will be no problem, but if you're used to a .270 Win or similar, you're gonna know it...
