We are loking for somewhere to put in on theis river and thought this would be a good place to look. If anyone knows of a good place or would let us get on on your property please let me know. We usually float from lincamp to the 31 bridge but would like to find a place a little further up to put in for a 2 day float.

We are taking a small group from Munfurdville to Mammoth Cave this weekend.

If you have never been on the green river the lincamp creek float is one of the best around. It has one spot where 3 waterfalls come together and a large gravel bar across from it, a perfect place to camp.

I think that is the only boat acess but I know of 2 others for that you can get in with a small boat or a conoe. BTW everyone should make the Munfurdville to Mammoth Cave trip at least once in thier life, it is awesome! It is runnable all summer since the river is controlled by dams at both ends, the corps does a good job regulating the water.

We took 4 newbies last weekend and had a blast. It is alot of work but well worth it. if anyone is interested in details about this stretch of river just let me know this is the 4th year in a row we have made the trip. One little bit of advice do not take anything but a canoe or a kayak, a couple of the newbies learned this the hard way, some people just will not listen:confused: .

it is a 2 day trip, you can check the link below to get the flowrate of the river. It was about 350 when we went a few weeks ago ,if you decide to make this trip make sure you go to the park office and get a camping permit, they are free and you have to have one to leave your vehicle in the park overnight. I would advise taking a GPS to keep up with your milege there is nothing worse than settin camp and not knowing how far you have went. The trip has 2 caves that you can take a Kayack into and several other neat things to stop in and see. The blue hole is about a mile before you get inot the park, it is a spring that comes out of a cave the water is crystal clear and COOOOOLD it is neat, we hit it the 2nd day pretty early it is on the right and pretty easy to notice with the fog rollng out of the bend. Just do us all a favor and take a few garbage bags to take your trash out with this is a very very clean river and I hope everyone will do thier part to keep it that way.
Anyone who wants more info just give me a call 270-234-6350 I will be more than happy to help.
