I looked at a Handi rifle @ the gun store yesterday and i kinda liked it. It is in .223 and I thought it would be perfect for varmints & 'yotes. Anyone got one of these? What do you think?

Got a Super Light synthetic model in .243. I've taken several deer with it. I keep it in the truck most of the year, just in case I see a yote. It's a tack driver.

Good rifles and just the trick for varmits and such. Most of them shoot extremely well to boot.

I had a heavy barrell .223 that was a tack driver, I had a 4x12 40 MM scope which was a great fit for it. I shot 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds. A great, inexpensive gun.

OK, just got a synthetic stocked bull barrel .223 like the one in the pic above. Any advice on factory loads to start with?

I have a heavy barreled Handi in .223 Rem. Mine shoots Hornady V-Max bullets with select powders to less than an inch @ 100 yards, but i wouldn't call it a "tack Driver" compared to a couple of Remington 700 VLS rifles in my safe and in no way can it compare with a custom, but for the money, you can't beat them. Afterall, less than an inch is superb accuracy for a yote at Kentucky ranges.

some are bad about hulls hard to eject with wolf ammo or some reloads good little rifle but not great get what you pay for

I have 2 handirifles. One in a .223 and just bought another in a 7mm-08. Both a very good shooters and are well worth the money. The .223 is a nail driver and great for coyotes. I also just put a nikon prostaff 3x9x40 on the 7mm-08 and am looking forward to using it for the upcoming deer season. In my opinion more gun then what you pay for(which is very rare!)
