I have narrowed it down to 2 bullets that I will use this coming gun season. These are both factory loads and shooting a 308

1 - 150 grain tsx (federal ammo)
2 - 150 grain swift scirocco (remington ammo)

Always taking shoulder shots, which of "these 2" would you recommend?
Both shoot good in this particular rifle.

there both about the same in performance on deer, they both should be awsome on busting there shoulders down for sure, what ever grouped the best and had better trajecory, and more energy and velocity is the one i would go with...

Assuming both provide good accuracy in the rifle; for shoulder shots, I'd go with #1, because the TSX won't fragment at all.

The Scirocco, although bonded, will still fragment slightly when hitting solid bone and will damage more meat.

I know you have already narrowed your choices, but let me offer this suggestion. I am shooting the Hornady light magnum 150 grainers. They shoot great and the sst bullet does a tremendous job.

With my Savage model 99, I shoot 1 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards. I am very happy with this combo.

They cost a little more than standard ammo, but when it comes down to crunch time, do you really want to be cheap??????
