Number of deerhunters.

Have requested the number of deerhunters in 2001(as well as 2000) twice at the KDFWR site with no answer. Anyone know?

Sorry, I didn't see your question until now--271,000 Kentucky deer hunters. About 7% are nonresidents, about 200,000 are resident license buyers, and the remainder are license exempt landowners and $5 Seniors and disabled folk.

Deer hunter numbers were about 3% down this past season--to be expected in the year following a license increase.
