Hope they caught the guy! Pat Ramsey passed away about 2 months ago, they had her service at our Church in Roswell, Ga.
About time the family had some answers.

they said he had been posting things on a website that NO ONE else but the police knew about..also they said someone had written them a letter confessing the crime but never identified themself...and she had alot of DNA under her nails where she tried to fight him to the best of her ability so hope this new evidence solves the case...

Too bad Patsy Ramsey (who was all but convicted in the court of public opinion by the news media) couldn't live to see the killer of her daughter brought to justice. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years and that JonBenet would be 16 years old had she not been murdered. Such a sad episode for a family to go through. There is no justice in a case like this, even if the parent could kill the SOB with their bare hands, it wouldn't bring a dead child back. Atleast now they know (if this guy is indeed guilty) that this killer won't be harming any other children/Families.
It will be interesting to see all these news media personalities who thought the parents had something to do with JonBenet's death eat some crow.

Looks like the former school teacher confessed.
I lived in Boulder when this was going on. I was too busy to pay much attention to it. But I still remember the local talk show hosts calling for the Ramseys heads on a plate. I wonder if they will now take the time to appologise to the remaining family members?

I know everybody is ready to see someone hang for this crime, especially after 10 years (myself included).... but let's not get the cart before the horse.
The same media that condemned the parents is now the ones crucifying this guy. Wackos confess to stuff like this all the time. They say he had details that only the police knew. Hard for me to believe that if someone fascinated with the crime really did their homework that they couldn't know those things after 10 years of media releases and people that were involved in the case writing book after book on it.
I will remain quietly optimistic that this is actually the guy... but they're going to have to produce some hard core, irrefutable evidence that this guy actually did it. Confession of a wacko doesn't cut it. I saw several minutes of the guy on the news this morning... you can tell that he's a freak, but that doesn't necessarilly mean he did it.. even if he says he did.
If the DNA evidence that they have along with the palm print and whatever other forensic evidence they found identify this guy, they need to rip out his spleen and feed it to a pen full of starving hogs.. right before they pitch him in there with them.

I agree with Quack.I surely hope the DNA evidence proves him guilty, rather than a convenient scapegoat for a crime that should have been solved years ago.

Well, looks like 24 hours later our beloved media is starting to waffle a bit on what they were reporting yesterday as fact.
The media is so predictable.
I hope I'm wrong folks.... but I don't think this is the guy based on what details I saw in the first hour yesterday morning. Unless the police have withheld evidence (possible) and basically lied about some things in their investigation (also possible), this guy has copped to a few things that never took place.
He is a justifiable nutjob though, I'll give him that.

When this guy gets on US soil, I look for the ball to start rolling.

I'm skeptical about this arrest. From what i have read this "school teacher" was writing a book on the murder. Could this be another weirdo trying to get publicity for his book? I do hope they have the right guy and the right guy gets the death penalty. Now, having said that and not being much in the know about this case. Did the police ever investigate the little girl's brother? How come we never heard anything about him? (Hey it's been 10 yrs, if we are going to start all the media circus again let's give them another bone to chew on)

Well, I hate to say it, but........

I've been telling this to people every since the story broke. Karr is just a nut. There was more than enough evidence from the start to raise some serious red flags. His own wife, family and neighbors said he was in GA. It's not like that's 100 miles away from CO. He was also giving some wildly inaccurate info about the murder. This was just a case of the media and LE grasping at straws. It really pissed me off yesterday when I turned on the news and this story was taking priority over the plane crash. I don't think it would have been that way if the plane crashed in L.A or NY.
I think the guy probably likes kids in a sick way, but I'm betting he's more into the boys from just looking at him. I think J B Ramsey could have faught this fruit off.
