Well i was going to rave about how stupid the kid was.....but really it is the parents fault....if the kid would have had experiance with firearms he wouldn't treat it like a toy...every parent should teach thier children gun saftey and never to play with a gun....even if they have no firearms in thier house, children can come in contact with them at a friends house or relatives..The gun owner should have had it locked up. just glad it didn't end in someone losing a life as it so often does.....

I have one question. We sit here and say it is the parents fault because the gun should be locked away. How many of us have a weapon in the house that is loaded or easily accessable in case of intruders and such? I would bet that most do, especially if you live in a more remote area. I say that because I don't know about cities like Louisville but would suspect that a gun might be a comfort there also.
Yes the parents must be blamed because they didn't stress to the idiot, er child, that the gun was not a toy and was to be left alone. I grew up with loaded guns in the house. I was taught how to use them and to respect what they can do. I taught my kids the same, and now my grandson. That is my responsibility and if I should fail in that duty, then the consequences are mine also. my opinion.

My thoughts exactly. How hard is it not to keep bullets in the clip of the gun when it is not in use? That is how fatal accidents happen.

If it is a joke it isn't funny.

Aside from teaching my kids to always know where the gun they are carrying is pointed and always assume that it is loaded, the best leason was to allow them to autopsy their first kill.......

The first time my daughter and son saw what a bullet is capable of their entire demeanor changed about firearm safety!

Never said it was funny, its kind of like when Elmer Fudd shoots Daffy Duck in the face, it looks bad but it aint real.

I believe that is fake. I also do not keep a loaded weapon in the house when I am not there, what would the purpose be? If Im not home I could not use it. My wife is also up on the defence arts and she is in prosession of the weapon if it is loaded.

We educated our son from the time he was a little snot nose to respect firearms, and even then would not allow the possibility of him comming into contact with a loaded weapon. The key here is common sense, and this cannot be enforced.

Real or fake thats a perfect example of a saying I like to use " No one's ever been shot by a empty gun, just idiots with loaded ones"
