I used the left over feathers after doing a fan mount to make this wreath. Easy to do, just need room to hang it.

That is nice, I might try that with my left over wing feathers.

Pluck all the wing feathers, and pluck a bunch of hand fulls of body feathers.
Go to arts and craft store get a 10-12 inch wreath hay or green foam.
Get a hot glue gun and scissors.

Take your wing feathers and stick them into the wreath about half way down the side and in a slightly diagonal direction going clockwise around the wreath.
Put a spot of hot glue at the base of any loose feathers.

Next take the body feathers and start the first layer as close to the wing feathers as you desire, wrapping them toward the center of the wreath, going around the wreath, using the hot glue to hold them in place( put glue on the vein that runs up the feather).

Next start your next layer doing the same as the first and continue this process until you have the wreath wrapped the way you want it to look.

I used 25lb fishing line to hang it, I tied it around the wreath in two spots before I put the feathers on.

It is easy to do once you get going.

That's a cool looking wreath. Wouldn't mind having one of them on my wall.

I've thought about making one out of all the fans I have sitting in my deep freeze.
