When did regular, plain old Winchesters become "rare" "collectors items"? I know the plant is closed but, Good Gosh Almighty!!! I know a person looking for a lever action for that special person in their life.

If your heart is set on a Win 94, I don't know what to tell you.

If it were me, I'd grab a used Marlin 336 and never look back. I like them much better.

I've had one of the model 94AE's (angle eject) for years and love it. Marlin makes a fine lever-action too. I'll agree, the Winchester is getting harder to find. If you're looking for a 30-30 for hunting, get a Marlin, but if you're dead set on the Winchester for a collection, keep looking. They're out there, somewhere.

I don't know about your area, but around my locale, you can find the 94's a dime a dozen in the local pawnshops shortly after deer season. Like trustme and eagle said, Marlins are easier to find, plus a lot easier to set up w/a scope in the end.

Marlin lever actions are fine rifles that come in a great many calibers. they are also more "Scope Friendly" than the Winchester M-94's.

I own a winchester 94 angle eject in 356 cal and I love it. It is easy to shoulder and fast on follow up shots. I use it primarily for still hunting applications.

Go to gunbroker.com. There are presently three hundred and sixty four model 94's listed there, ranging from a hundered bucks to nine thousand bucks. Bet you can find what you're looking for there.
