Does the standard size in meters(or yards) times 1000 divided by the size in Mils work for after marker Mil-Dot scopes? I know size in mils can vary and the magnification can make the formula different.(one reason Im sure the military used fixed power scopes and standardized mils for years) Does each manufacturer have thier own formula or do they all use the same size mils and the same formula?

They are the same. However, there are two Mil Dot systems. The Army uses round Mil Dot's and the Marine Corp uses oval Mil Dots. There is a template on Leupol'd site that explains them and how to use them.

Thanks, thats exactly what I was refering to. I knew the armys were etched on glass while the marines were stamped on wire. I wasnt sure about the other manufacturers.
