Where is the best place in the Hopkinsville/Clarksville area to buy freshwater fish? I am looking to try rainbow trout or something similar. Here there are dozens of seafood markets everywhere but not real sure about up there. I am sure you can get the run-of-the-mill regular frozen fillets etc at Kroger or somewhere like that but I am hoping to find a "local" type place where I can go look at the fish whole and pick them out etc.

Good luck.

Might have to look elsewhere. Western KY isn't exactly well known for trout. They're arround, but you won't generally find them outside of Kroger or Walmart. About the freshest fish you'll find arround here is catfish. It's alot more fun to catch those yourself tho!

I wish I could help, but here in eastern Ky. we are a bit seafood market poor ourselves. I have 72 fresh frozen filleted lake Erie walleye in the freezer I could trade for say a few hundred acres of well populated quail ground I could hunt this fall in your area!:D INTERESTED?

Heeeeeck yes they do! One fish sammich has enough fish for 3 regular sammiches. I might eat there tomorrow.
