Just curious about who shoots carbon arrows, what kind and why did you make that choice.

When I shot my compound, I shot Beman ICS 400's. Plain and simple, they were tough, light and fast and at that time I had the need for speed and got it at 292 fps. I still shoot aluminum in my recurve and really have no interest YET in making my own wood arrows but I'm sure it will come.

I forgot to mention that I shoot Gold Tips. They are tough and fit a college students budget.

I shoot Game Trackers 200 and they are great. You can shoot into a tree and than dig it out and shoot it over and over.

Gold Tips. They were the first to invent the multi directional woven carbon fiber arrow. Also they are made in Orem Utah. Several of the carbons on the market are made in Korea, and Mexico. Also Gold Tip uses a aircraft grade of carbon where as some of the others dont.

Gold Tips are for my use but Easton now has some real nice shafts that are very much like Gold Tips.

Just switched to Easton ACC, shaft size 3-60
The fly really good, and very pleased with its performance.
Good Hunting,

Gold Tips. I have shot them for 3 years. What made me switch was the toughness of the carbons.

I bought a 100 dollars worth of beman's one time, shot a doe, arrow shattered, took two days to find it. Ended up giving them away, have used aluminum ever since.
