I love it! That gives me an idea as to what I can do with the ones that I have collected over the years. Thanks for sharing.

Looks great! Just curious as to how you prepared the spurs? They all look alike. Thanks.

Didn't do anything special really. Just skinned them all and let them dry for a couple weeks. Boiled them for about 5 minutes to get any remaining flesh off. Then I polished them with some polishing compound and a dremmel. Not much to it. hw

Awesome necklace I'll do that if I ever get enough spurs. I'm looking for an unusual way to do the fans I have 4, something different than just hanging them individually.

Great job. i have made one but it is rough and rustic compared to that one. It is beautiful.

Boy am I jealous! I just hope that I'll be able to make me one someday. It's been on my mind for a while now, just don't have enough spurs. I've only killed 2 gobblers, and one didn't even have spurs even though he was about 22 lbs. and had a 9 inch beard as thick and wide as a paint brush! I collect indian arrowheads and will hopefully get to make me a spur necklace with an arrowhead hanging on it someday. Nice Job!!!

Looks awesome! Does anyone know if you could use the spurs off of a leg that has already dried out that i killed in '05. I just cut off part of the leg with the feet still on.

Gobblegetter, alot of the spurs I used were on dried legs that I had from a few seasons ago. I just went ahead and cut on either side of the spur and skinned them out and they were fine. hw

mine were already dried to thats why they look light . if the black cap pops off of your spur just super glue it back on . sometimes when they get dried out the black part pops off while your cutting them .
