Had a blast spent several days there at hillmans and caught several nice fish also. fished below barkly dam under the bridge on the lake city side. wore the stripe out.:) A whole lot of relaxing and enjoying life. got home and made reservations for labor day weekend. there were only three spots still available to reserve for that weekend and we were lucky enough to get the same as before. a-20. nice a level and plenty of room. boys say its the best because no matter where the girls are coming from..they have to passs us to get to the beach.:D

Looks like you guys had a good time.

What were the fish hitting on while you were there? I've always had better luck up against the concrete of the dam on the same side you were on. Just hard to get that spot because it's pretty popular.

You can vertical jig a big white roostertail around those columns and work on them pretty good too.

You would probably loose alot of rooster tails that way wouldn't you? I know when I try to fish them around some of the dams, all I come back with is string:o

There's not too much to snag around those piers, especially when you're in a boat and just using a vertical presentation.
