I need Turkey season to reopen and the limit raised to 8. Woke up to the sounds of one longbeard gobbling every 30 seconds and five of his short beard friends trying to mimick his gobbles in my back yard. We been hearing the longbeard everyday but now his younger buddys have joined in. Who needs a alarm clock when you have this.

Enjoy listened to them, now.
By next April, that bunch of birds, will probably be on a big corn pile in Warren county.

From my standpoint....thats one sound I never get tired of listening to but I guess if that woke me up every morning....it would be a different story.

I saw one at 8:05 this morning. It was on the side of the road on US 42, about a mile from the Watterson Expressway in Louisville. For those of you who don't know Louisville, that's in a fairly densly populated residential neighborhood with a couple of undeveloped estates around it. The bird by my estimate had at least a 10" beard and looked huge. I'm no turkey hunter, but if I knew that this bad boy was so close to home, I would wear my work clothes and wait for him in my Chrysler blind.

This bad boy is still at it everyday. Follows the same route each morning, wherever he goes is unknown as he goes out of hearing after a while. Gobbling all the way. Also seen a big Tom out in a field with several hens a couple days ago on the west end of the county, looked to still be trying to impress the ladys.
