If any of you veterans haven't heard, a hard drive with 26 million vets information (social, name, date of birth) has been stolen. Feds say not to worry, but fact is thats enough info to start a whole new line of crap on a mans credit history. Talking identity theft here. Word of advice, visit one of the 3 major credit bureaus, call there fraud line, and put a 90 day fraud alert on your name. They will tell the other 2 agencies to do the same. Then follow it up with a letter asking for the 7 year fraud alert.
Could save you a lot of heart ache in the long run.

Where do you get these numbers? I was wondering if one should take action. Odds are probably one in 26 million, but those are chances that I do not want to take.

all you have to do is pick one and call them, they will share the info with the other 2
