Nice buck. I shot 4 or 5 that size last year. It's easier to tell if they meet the 130" minimum when they are not moving.:D
I am printing these off as we speak to go show Lynn. He will love to see them.:D

Thats a good looking buck! I can definately see how you could confuse him with a 130 when he's running 60 mph! lol! Kalen told me to say that!I think he did a good job.

Hey Cobb, I had an idea: K already has mounts at the farm that show "minimum" and "acceptable" size racks to shoot. Bring it down and we can use it for a "NOT A SHOOTER" example.:D:D

Is this the "probabtion buck" I heard about at Kalens? :D
The story I was told was he was a scrappy little buck! :D
Has to be a different deer!
Seriously though, Nice mount Cobb!

Here comes a brisket joke! I can just feel it!:D
Just to make sure I don't get blamed for this.
This buck came off another QDM farm owned by a friend of mine. His strict limits were 130 gross and those limits were agreed to by the group that was hunting there. Cobb's deer, as nice as it is fell a little short of the 130 inches.
The end result was a slightly upset landowner that gave me an azz chewing over Cobb's buck. I think Cobb had "conviently" already left to go back to lexington to start is new job w/o ever facing up to the landowner..........The only entertaining moment during the azz chewing that I was getting came when Rick243 asked the angry landowner who exactly he was. Cobb had conviently failed to introduce Rick243 to the landowner where Rick 243 had been hunting......
I love ya Cobb.

You guys are so cruel. :D :D :D . Cobb you need to post a view from the right side, like what you saw when he came running by.
Actually he did pretty good, considering he shot a doe a few minutes earlier and forgot to reload his rifle. Then this buck came blazing by and he intentionally fired a missing shot to stop the buck in his tracks. Then, with the buck staring at him he "calmly" stuffed a couple more rounds in his magazine, took careful aim and fired. The shot was so perfect it caused the buck to run down the hill and fall at his feet not 10 yards from the trail. After his uncontrollable shaking stopped he came up the creek and got me to help him. :D
Was the shaking from his excitement or from fear of Lynn tearing him a new a$$hole?:D

This buck did suffer from an intense case of ground shrinkage you know:D . It was not until after the rack had shrunk did the fear of Lynn set in.
I will have to say that Cobb did do the smart thing, he left 15 minutes before the landowner arrived and let me, the gut brothers, and rick 243 take his azz chewing.
Pretty smart move if you think anbout it, of course we are no longer allowed to hunt there.......for lack of trust.

I started to post a view from the RIGHT side. Kalen said it would get deleted and I would be banned. ATEUP will have a nice view from the right side next time I see him.(next time I see him asleep of course):D
That's OK rag all you want. I'm not gonna wine about broken points, broken beams, and duct tape. It was big enuff for me to put on the wall and that's where it sets. Two deer on the ground, on opening morning, because I got a new job and had to be back by Sunday. That was a good a day for me!;)

The brisket story is easy to explain; I shot a doe exactly where her vitals are supposed to be but with all this “Early Onset Estrus” adaptation and 130" bucks morphing into 120" I figure the brisket must have evolved to be higher into the chest cavity to keep the vitals from being damaged.

I'll back you on the morphing theory. Evolution is a bitc#.:D
