Not a Kentucky Bird

I shot this one in Southwest Ohio on Thursday.
22 lbs
11 inch beard
1 1/2 inch spurs

We only shoot the little ones up here north of the river:rolleyes:

He had a "gimpy" leg. I cut his swollen foot open to see what was wrong. It was infected with some green, stinky, goop. It smelled so bad, I stuck it in my neighbor's garbage can;)

I assume you were hunting on private property. Did you hear many birds?
See many hens or did it seem most of the hens already settin'?
Much hunting pressure on surrounding property?
Hunt any public property in Ohio?
