Doug's trying to make this a personal thing with Ace, so let's continue on another thread.

I've noticed that several of the numbers Doug is using don't connect with what's been released by the KYDFWR, even though that appears to be his number one source of info.

Here's the rest of the story:

First off, the number of folks using private land has shrunk, Doug reported 95%. It's less than that:

Next, Doug implies that we are harvesting too many gobblers. What do the rest of the hunters think????(2006 Survey) Let's see:

Next, doug says that hunter success was so and so in 2002? verses now.

Let's see the 2002 numbers first, they are less than what Doug reported as you can see

In 2002, most people thought that the the flock had enough birds, AND that the KYDFWR were doing a great job of managing the resource, as you can see here:

Brings us up to date with the assessment last year of the overall programs being offered by KYDFWR. what do most people say???? Let's look:

Doom and Gloom????? Looks like most people don't really think so, even in the 3rd District where most of the guff is coming from. Read it for yourself and see, of course you could just look back at this forum and see how many complaints out side of the one little click there are. The future is bright, most hunters agree.

I'm finished with the "personal stuff", we simply disagree on what the facts and data mean to us, I can live with, that fact; WE also disagree on the job the KDFWR is and has been doing, again, I can live with that; the constant attacks, sometimes get irratating, but that is his opinion, so be it.......

I'm glad I don't have to try to please over one million people all of the time on every issue...though that is impossible, they give it a great try, IMHO

This one is locked. Don't start a new thread by saying we are starting it due to attacks and then start calling someone out. If y'all want to move this to the train wreck that is going on, do so.
