with hay mow ing season right around the corner, heres my question..if a farmer mows thru a nest and kills the hen as it often happens would you leave the unbroken eggs to the critters or try to hatch them??? i know being in procession of wild turkey eggs is most likely illegal???but once they are hatched and imprinted they shouldnt be concidered wild turkeys???

first i NEVER let anyone cut my hay until i am certain that the chicks have all hatched out also deer fawns able to walk...to be honest i believe hay cutting makes more of an impact then all the coyotes, dogs together...
now with this rainy/cold weather any chicks that are hatching out are in serious dangerous of pnuemonia? ..
i have seen chicks in the past as early as memorial day

i agree on the statement hay mowing impacts turkey more than critters but most farmers cut hay according to the weather not the turkey hatch
