I used a Kodak LS443 digital. I actually wanted to post a pic of a fawn, but the file size was to large for Hunt 101 to accept. I have figured out that I have to set the camera for lower quality prints to stay under the file limit.
I was sitting in my truck when I took this pic. It was during season and I was armed with only a 9mm and a camera, so I just took him with the camera. (stayed legal)lol.

RTC,

You can use a program called IrfanView to resize images to make the file size smaller.

http://www.irfanview.com

The great thing about this program is that it is free and easy to use.

Just keep a couple of things in mind:
1. A resolution of 72 is all you need for the web.
2. The smaller the image ... the smaller the file size.
3. Don't overwrite your original image with a web optimized version or you won't be able to use the high resolution version for print etc.
4. You (and anyone else for that matter) can send images to webmaster@kentuckyhunting.com and we will optimize them for the web (but the catch is ... we will put them in our photo gallery here on the site).

It was a cool morning and I was waiting in the truck for it to warm up a bit, sipping coffee, when he came out of the woods behind me. I watched him in the mirror strutting towards me and a hen that was in the field also. He strutted within 3 ft of me, I could have reached out and touched him! I watched him for over an hour and finally had to just get out of the truck and shew him away so I could get busy.

NWTF Turkey Call magazine has pics from their photo contest in it. Says details for the next one will be in the Sept./Oct. issue. You ought to send that one in.

I was looking at the NWTF photos yesterday. This one should be in the running. This is truly a great photo.

They've got some awesome photos in this issue, of course being a turkey nut I'm a little biased.
