I hunted for the first afternoon of the season and was VERY surprised! I heard at least 5 different birds gobblin' their heads off! When I arrived (4:25) 2 toms were strutting in a pasture. I put the sneak on'em and got out in front of them. I sat down in the woods 70-80 yds in front of the strutters and hit a quite yelp and a bird 100 yds to my left gobbled. The two strutters took off running out of the field (scared I guess?). 2 hours later and what seemed like 500 gobbles, I took a nice 2 year old horn dog at 7pm at 20 yds. This happened in Grayson County. Should be a great closing weekend. I need to get my Bro tagged out for the first time ever.
