Ok guys, I havent been posting muc lately, but I really need some opinions.
Last April I bought a used tiller. It ran great at first, butafter the second time using it, the carburator started leaking gas.
I took it to Wades Lawn and Tracter by Kosmosdale cement plant. The owner told me he would find me a carb in a couple weeks. After about six weeks, he told me he tried to rebuild it, but it didnt work, he would still look for a carb. All summer long I used someone elses tiller. I called in November and was told he was still looking.
I went to pick it up yesterday as I found 3 carbs for it on my own. When I got there, my tiller was sitting behind his building with a broken wheel and no carb on it. It was not coveredn up. I took it home and tried to turn it over, but because it didnt have a carb on it, it was locked up, and the crankcase is full of water.I went back to Wade's and was told not having a carb on it had nothing to do with it locking up, it did it by itself.

What are my options guys???
I filed a complaint with the BBB.
Would calling the county attorney's office help??
Maybe the troubleshooter Julie Stewart???
please help,
Steve

Sounds like you're headed the right way....Something I've never done, but have thought about is small claims court....it costs $30 to file, but you can tack that onto your claim...

Good luck with these guys. I'd take your stuff down the road next time. Try Bluegrass Lawn and Garden, there first rate and will get you going again.

Hey Steven,

Do you know any lawyers personally? Alot of times all it takes is a call from a lawyer to light a fire under their tale. The troubleshooter might be a good idea too. I would definitely make him aware of what actions you plan to take (if you already haven't)

your headed in the right direction, and i would definatly get some retribution. go to small claims. you might not get your money, but they'll have a judgement against them that'll haunt them in the longrun if you dont. as far as BBB your wastin your time.they wont do nothin. good luck in whatever you choose to do.

thanx for all the replies guys
I think I may try the small claims court thing. It might not get me anything, but it is just the principle of it anyway.Multi, I live right beside Bluegrass, and you are right, they do quality work, but they are very expensive, which is why I went somewhere else in the first place. I didnt figure somebody could screw up just finding a carb., but I guess I was wrong
