Went to two different spots this afternoon and didn't find any, but I know people who are. I'll be off after Wed. Maybe it'll rain again and with warm temps maybe they'll pop up everywhere. Good luck!

This is my first yr. on trying to find mushrooms. I looked for 3 hrs today without finding the first one. It makes me so mad, and I love their taste. Please, Please, you experts.... give me some advise on where to look? What kind of woods? Are they near creeks? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks.

I will be down hunting this weekend. Here in Indiana we find them around dying elm trees, is there a particular place you find them down there?

Around here they grow better where you find alot of Poplar timber. Just find you a good patch of big poplars and start looking....I might be wrong but it seems like I always find them there. Might just be conicidence?

I found a loan small yellow Saturday under a cedar, of all things. Surprisingly, I only found the one, even though I spent a pretty long time searching a pretty wide radius.
How do you know which ones are good ones??? I learned in my college days there's some "shrooms" out there that make you think you're Bugs Bunny... But we always got those from a guy who grew 'em in his basement!
