I went with the third Sat. Which means the season comes in between the 15th & 22nd. I remember several April 19th openings & things went well then.

15th of April. A few years ago, the Departmetn Biologist indicated that wsa the best date to start the season for the birds.

Only reason i didn't use a monday option was that it's very unlikely that will ever change.

I agree with what someone posted above. I like when it opened during the week, however, like you stated unlikely to change. I think the 15th is a good start date.

Anything but a Saturday. The 15th or Wednesday closest to that is good. Maybe time will show that the Saturday opener needs to be changed.

I voted for the last saturday in march. this is mainly because I feel that the turkeys would be easier to hunt at this time. Less time for them to go ahead and get done what they are trying to accomplish and to hear more real hens making real hen noises. The woods are more open (less spring growth) so it may even be a little safer from the aspect that nobody should be shooting through a leafed out bush at what they think is a turkey but may end up being me or you calling. Just my two cents on it.
