Mythbusters...

Anyone else out there a fan of the "Mythbusters" ? I love their show. They proved today that if you eat one poppy-seed bagel, you can test positive for heroin for up to 72 hours. They said alot of people have lost their jobs because of this. Eating alot of poppy-seeds can leave you feeling as if you had just consumed heroin. You guys might want to think twice about eating anything with poppy-seeds in it before you go to work!

It's a great show. I watch it all the time but I don't usually watch the whole show because they always seem to have one really cool experiment and one that is not so cool. I have a short attention span so I usually switch channels during the not so cool segments and forget to flip back.

it's a good show, but the "science" leaves a lot to be desired.

i have watched several of the shows one they proved that putting your finger in the end of a gun barrel will not stop the bullet and cause the gun to explode ..DUHHHH

they also proved on one show that those motion sickness pills are a fluke
gave a guy one that was supposed to be a sickness pill and others that was candy its mostly mind over matter...IM just glad they didnt ask me to be the test dummy i wouldnt have lasted as long as that guy did my cookies would have been long gone

Did anyone see were they proved that you get better gas mileage in a truck if the tailgate is left up, they showed that w/ your tailgate down it creates more drag. They tested it w/ 2 exact same trucks, one w/ the tailgate up one down and drove them until they ran out of gas, the truck w/ the tailgate up lasted longer.

I saw that one. I guess that really slowed sales of the "air gate" or whatever they call those mesh tailgates.:D

Yeah, the science is a little short at times, but it is good entertainment as far as TV goes. I enjoy it, especially since they added that little hotty with the big smile. Savage is a witty guy, and they both are very intelligent, you can tell.

Yea, i liked that episode. This is because an air bubble is created in the bed of the truck, and the air that comes of the trucks hood goes over that bubble instead of in the bed and hitting the tail gate. I was suprised at how much farther the truck with its tail gate up went than with it down.
