Okay...for those die hard golfers like myself...whos got who?

Tiger...rough week...father is ill, and that has to be on his mind. Then again hes a competitor and that will drive him. Lefty, two drivers??? Got a huge win last week and thats gotta help the motivation. Any sleepers out there??? Some are saying Luke donald....

If Tigger lines out the driver...he will be fine...Beer cheese sounds tasty! I am playing Fuzzy's Covered Bridge Sat....maybe that night?

I cant believe there are not many responses? Surely there is a hacker or two among us? Thats what we need...a KYHUNTING golf scramble!! Raise some money for charities.?? May be on to something....

What about Phil Mickelson ? I saw where he was some unbelievable amount of strokes ahead this last weekend ? He might slip in there and get the win with Tiger worried about his Dad ?

I agree (see original post) Lefty last week blew the field away...I think its rather noble of him to use 2 drivers though...will be interesting..but the wedges are definitely dialed in.

See Mr. K. Perry talk about the length of Augusta..interesting...I agree with him about the length...

I would like to see Tiger win one more for his dad, but I think Mickleson will win if he is on like last week. He was playing to near perfection!

I don't thinkPhil will win, I hope Tiger can but with Dad sick he will have a rough time this week keeping his mind on golf. If Tiger isn't a front runner I expect one of the newer PGA guys to come out on top. I hope to play at least one round this weekend.

I wish tiger would win for his dad. I think lefty is playing better than anyone else right now. But I am going with VJ. And that golf scramble would be a great idea. Maybe at dale hollow then we can go after some small mouth after we get done golfing???

If I were a betting man, I would put my money on Jim Furyk. Not a long hitter, but he keeps it straight.

Just read an interesting article stating that the average true golf handicap is 15.7..

Personally, I think the health of Tigers father will be a huge distraction for him. As it was last weekend. I would like to see Duvall do something, but we all know his great outcomes. I believe ol' HEFTY is playing the best golf right about now, so my prediction would be him if his putting is on. His long game is as good as it gets, but within 10ft of the cup, CHOKE CITY BABY!

"Hefty" Now thats funny...yeah his "mickies" get in the way on his backswing. Not sure about Furyk...the course is "Deep"....and fast, per reports. I think putting will be the key. VJ..nah, hes on his way down.

Tigers father seems to be a hot one..but you know, Tiger is a competitor and he knows his father would want him to compete as hard as ever..thats why I think something special could happen????

David Duval...I agree I would love to see him be a factor once again.

Natural lite....Never played Dale Hollow. My group always goes to Peninsula in Danville...off Lake Harrington. Its a Pete Dye course and they have condos on site. Its a blast...Nice Condos too..right on the driving range, middle of nowhere....BYOB and gas grill provided. Its very reasonable and the course is top notch. Good friend of mines father is the head pro there and setting it up would be no problem.

I'm below the average then pooge, I'm about 18 handicap, love to play but just not enough playing to be consistent. Anybody know which public golf courses are close to Mt Washington? My son is buying a home out there and I hope to visit more often.

Highbow,

I work in Shepherdsville....in laws live in Mt. Wash. Maywood in Bardstown is a real nice course...GPS, thick rough, etc. There is Tangle wood in Taylorsville..couple of fairways are sloped and any slice is DEAD...reasonably priced. There is also the Crossings in Brooks...nice little course as well...all are within 30min of Mt. Washington. I am always up for a game..

What is up with DUVAL? This dude might as well pick a new profession. 12 over par, what did he forget his driver or something? HORRIBLE!

Duval has been on a downhill slide since the B.O win. He will be the first to admit it as well. He is working on his swing due to injuries..etc...I think hell come out of it eventually.

And I take that back about VJ! LOL...hes leading at 5-U.

I would like to play in a scramble some time also. I am a member of the Frankfort Country Club here in frankfort. We just joined this fall. I love the course, you just have to worry about hitting all of those half million dollar and up houses. I would say my handycap is in the mid 20s but I have just gotten back into it here lately. Bought a new Driver yesterday, the new X 460 from Calloway I hit it pretty good.

Never played Dale Hollow. My group always goes to Peninsula in Danville...off Lake Harrington. To me there is no comparision between the two I have played them both several times but I will go anywhere and play. I am horrible though might shoot 84 might shoot 104 I am not consistant at all. I look good after the first day with MY VJ pick but first day don't mean anything now does it. The peninsula would probably be more centrally located for everyone. If we could get 40 or 50 people involved and then draw groups it would be pretty neat. Just let me know when and where and I will be there.

VJ must have heard my comment "hes on his way down" because he was throwing darts.

Peninsula would be a great place..IMO. The condos, the course, cost etc.. I think a KYHUNTING scramble would be a great idea. Like I said...rasie some money for a charitable contribution, consume oat sodas and play some golf. Guess we would have to get an idea who would participate...even if it was only a few guys I would be down with meeting some new faces and playing golf.

A scramble would be a great time...the good thing about Peninsula is that its in the middle of nowhere..yet near Lexington and Danville. The condos are fully furnished, and the course is primo (Pete Dye). It would take some planning...main hurdle is getting guys to committ and not back out.

Our 10 year high school reunion we played there and had 20 plus players and they really took care of us. All you would have to do is set a date and get everyone interested to join in. Then if they backed out you could shame them to death on here.

Yeah..phil played great...Note: If Tiger putts average..he wins...GIR were pretty good...

The scramble.....maybe we should start a list of people who would be interested.......I will start a new thread and people add their name....we can then get an idea if it would be feasible. As far as a date...later on in the summer...prior to 9/1?? I know its warm...but trying to do something on short notice will not work...
