They absolutely deserved to win this championship. They played all out, every half, of every game and whipped just about everyone. They have some good players who play with a lot of heart. Hat's off to Billy D.

What a great game they played. I hope they all go pro now so the rest of the SEC might have a chance against them next year..

I really doubt Donovan is going anywhere now.;)

I bet he gets a raise, wherever he coaches next year.

I think he stays and has a go at it next year. Would you rather coach Green and Noah next year in the NCAA or Woo and Bobby Perry in the NIT?:D

Billy Donovan is a great young coach and I think he has very sharpe recruiting skills . I hope they keep going till Tubby is removed so that the SEC will remain strong.

Think about it....if you have the choice to coach at a top program in the sunny state of Florida, or jump into a hot frying pan in Kentucky....what would you do. Billy will stay put.

I'll guess that this will get him a good pay raise. Had his team in the finals in 2000. Won it all in 2006.

Let me see, last time uk in final four, 1998!!!!

Go figure.

Tubby aint got a chance unless he goes to a final four or wins a championship every year. Most fans(and Im not one of them cause I dont really keep up with basketball)will never accept Tubby because he does not look like they do, and that is a shame. I know people who never missed a game before Tubby and now they wont watch at all, and that is wrong. Im not a Tubby fan or a Uk fan or even a basketball fan for that matter but the fact is a black coach at UK dont have a chance unless he wins em all.

"If you said to me would Billy entertain the NBA someday and try it, Mike Krzyzewski interviewed with the Los Angeles Lakers, so anything's possible there," Pitino said. "But you don't leave the Louisvilles of the world or the Kentuckys of the world or the Floridas of the world for another college job. You just don't do that. They're lateral moves that make absolutely no sense at all."

Dang. That's got to hurt you Cat fans' egos a bit. To be mentioned in the same breath with lowly Louisville and Florida.
